       @freakazoid It would be super annoying to expose yourself to a big insecure platform that people say is super safe and there are people denying that harassment can happen and not being helpful or empathetic about it. My experience here so far has been awesome, but I can understand that it's just my good luck so far. It's only a matter of time before I get harassed here. People need to understand their personal experiences do not invalidate other's experiences.

       @stux when I see stuff like this my first thought was that they never intended to make a self-driving car and they were just promising something they had no intention of delivering because grift is cheaper than buying ads

       @sean I love your use of AI art! I've been watching #AIArt develop from the sidelines. I used to be more worried about all the fake news that would result, but now I'm looking forward to having more and better art everywhere! It's going to be a much more fun more visual world, now that this tech is widely available! I also hope its wide availability will help people to learn to think more before believing in images.

       @sean I have been wanting to work on a network of trust system for tracking the creation and editing of media. Hopefully it would be possible to build something that lets you see which organizations are standing behind the accuracy of a piece of content. The system could be federated and we could choose whose signatures we would trust. This would also help with sharing content and potentially help replace monopolistic stuff like automatic ContentID and DRM.

       I feel guilty because Mastodon administrators are having to work hard and put up with a lot of toxic Internet crap to keep the experience nice for me.
