Sometimes among the noise you can easily forget how useful something like #torrents can be.Yesterday I was trying to download Debian live (2.3GB). I got about 2-4MB/s download speed. On a gigabit connection. But using #fosstorrents via fosstorrents.com i managed to get anywhere from 20MB/s to 80MB/sSo instead of waiting an hour and risking a failed download. I got it within about 15mins and if the download did fail, I'd be able to resume.Don't let others tell you torrents are for criminals only.#privacy #torrent #linux

I want (international) law that customer support is required to be reachable and helpful. It must be enforced. We have monopolies with 70%+ market share who are unreachable. The only reason support scams work is because they are reachable.

So there's this phone. It looks quite similar to grapheneos, even having vanadium.I thought it was very cool, especially since GrapheneOS announced working with some OEM some time ago, and punkt being popular within the privacy crowd for being a dumb phone with signal. All my enthusiasm vaporised once I read about the AphyOS *subscription*.I get it, making and maintaining a supposed secure OS is intensive. And rightfully you're to be compensated. But what the actual FUCK do you mean by> Opting out of subscription will result in *gradual feature deactivation*, and ultimately reverting to a device running AOSP (Android Open Source Project).Stopping updates I can understand, but actively removing features!?https://www.punkt.ch/products/mc03-premium-secure-smartphone#grapheneos #punkt #aphyos #enshittification
