I dreamed about my artist residence (that is due in 2 1/2 months). First, I dreamed that I had to go with a small train there. I remember that I didn't really know where and when the bus left, but I took it anyway.I arrived at a huge square that was plastered with train tracks, and I knew I had to find an underground passage. I remember being scared, as that passage was supposedly 2km long. I was met by 2 policemen who brought me to this passage, which turned out not as a tunnel, but as a long succession of smaller rooms, each one slightly different, each one lit by flickering neon light.Then my dream ended. I woke up. After some time, I went back to sleep.The dream went on! I entered the house I was supposed to live in for the next month. I was greeted by an older guy who showed me around. My partner was there, too, and the little one. I explored the rooms a bit and found them okay, if a bit scrappy. Many things were mismatched and looked like they had been sorted out of other places. There was also a door on the bathroom that led to a place where an elderly woman lived.As I went ahead and wanted to film me unpacking my artist stuff, I noticed that I didn't know if I had packed the tripod. Because I hadn't packed anything! Because it was a dream.I woke up again.

In real life, I have just now started preparing for that artist residence. I bought some things I will need when I'm there, like a rucksack (my 25 year old one from school is literally falling apart). It's weird after such a long time without travel.The last trip was to Rome, I think that explains a bit. But I have no idea where the underground pathway is coming from! Perhaps symbolical for the long wait until I could go?

The whole dream was soaked with fearful thoughts, uncertainty and a sense of adventure, yes, and also dread.A perfect reflection of my feelings about this trip in real life. But I'll go anyway, and I'm sure it'll be great!

My upcoming artist residency has seduced me to buy stuff in the past weeks. Things I need and had postponed for years, like a windbreaker jacket. A new laptop, so I can make music while I'm there, sth I'm really looking forward to. A rucksack (my old one is over 20 years old and falls apart). And now roller skates.Technically I'm still on a no-buy. Have to be careful not to slip back into bad habits and break it. Because that's a lot of exceptions...!
