Solstice is over and it's time to think about #NewYear and what I want to achieve...* Do more with my local conservation society. Clean ups and botanic surveys are good.... But thinking about jumping in on invasive weed control and native propagation. * Keep plugging away at better bird identification. We are spoilt with so much diversity and beauty of native birds on this big brown island.* Really should volunteer with the RFS. Everyone says it's be right up my street. I'm at least 5% confident on my ability to dash out of a burning house with a puppy under each arm and do a sobbing testimony to camera about how it never gets any easier (ideally with stylishly smudged eyeliner and a few aesthetically pleasing soot marks). That's what you do in the RFS, right?

Well.... that's an understatement. I've rarely seen a bigger, more complete, continent spanning utterly failure of planning and basic competency than #Telstra and the #3Gshutdown.
