       Fallout 3 was *fine* into the New Vegas era, but Bethesda storytelling has always been dogshit. New Vegas took the bones, which were great, and made a good, replayable game with it. Then 4 came around and basically made 3 irrelevant with a more compelling takes on the systems and an equally dogshit narrative. But it was Fallout, it had the Fallout vibe and humor. I'll always go back to New Vegas, it's a perfect wasteland cowboy revenge power fantasy. Significantly more compelling than Skyrim for sure. Bethesda just can't tell a decent story to save their life. That's why they've spent the last 2 decades selling other people's properties and harping on the lore they wrote when old school geeks worked there. Starfield is just nothing. It's their formula stripped of all the character other people gave it and replaced with a corpo-friendly goyslop non-narrative about an apocalyptic future where everyone is a niggerfaggot lol.

       ESO is an MMO, MMOs never really count, but ES lore is old school geek shit and thus esoteric to the point you don't actually need to know 3/4 of it. Like Dune, Dragonriders of Pern, Wheel of Time, all the classics that nobody actually talks about anymore unless a movie or dogshit tv knockoff is in production. Kinda the main thing I appreciate about it. You have batshit concepts like CHIM and a bunch of shit ripped from the Silmarillion, and they all just kinda mash it together to loosely justify whatever fantasy world they want you to live in for 400+ hours. Just shows that the OGs gave a shit enough to have someone rape the corpse for infinite profit. Which I guess makes modern Bethesda just Brian Herbert lol.But yeah fr New Vegas is the only remaster I'd ever pay real money for. It's got quirks for days, realistically every faction is retarded, but it presents it all so well and the parts all come together in the perfect balance of jank and fun, I'll probably go back and drop another hundo hours into it after I get burnt out on BG3.
