@wyliesau The closest Dicks to me already closed its Field and Stream and wants to rebrand itself as some kind of yuppie playland. I used to get a lot of my hunting and fishing supplies there, but even though the fishing stuff will remain I wont be setting foot in it again. This is what happens when a company is taken over by ideologue cityots who have no connection to the folks actually shopping in their stores.

@Viking @wyliesau You just hate to see it. Well, I don't, and I doubt you do either. I read the article and it looks like it was corporatized into extinction in about 2 years by people who were real good at reading balance sheets but not so great at understanding exactly why people were connected to the brand in the first place. No one can learn that in business school, and they aren't learning from the mistakes of other companies either apparently.

@Jim @StaleDonut Damn UCB? Mr. Show, UCB, Ben Stiller, the old MTV Andy Dick show, SNL was still somewhat good, Chapelle and WKUK at the tail end. I'm probably missing one or two. Things were better in general when it was socially acceptable to be funny on television.

@Rasterman @txt I'm still 50/50 on this being a bit. I don't think Ralph has enough unintoxicated braincells left to do a bit like this, but him doing a stream drunk and high running down his wife and mother of his child is not the tell it would be for other people.

@wyliesau Simple really, she's not there because of what she did, she's there for easy and controlled access if powers that be decide she is a liability. It's already been proven that "suicides" however implausible will not be investigated, and I'm sure she must be "depressed" and "wracked with guilt" at levels that could rise dangerously at any moment depending on what may leak out.
