@Teri_Kanefield So, isn't one of the reasons that prosecutors are the decision makers on prosecuting is because they know all the info involved, which is not knowable, especially in a legal context, by the public, and presumably legislators? Can this compel or pressure a prosecutor to bring a case that doesn't have merit, and will be dismissed? Which would prove the prosecutor's point but mess up his holy win percentage?

@Teri_Kanefield I still don't understand most of Mastodon - fortunately I'm not much of a content creator...

@Teri_Kanefield This does feel like the greater effort to crack down on prosecutors. I'm in the Philly area, and the state legislator is trying to recall the Philly DA - Krassner is not my DA, but he was recently re-elected by the citizens of Philadelphia. The state legislators think they know better.

@Teri_Kanefield Trump is a bottomless well of hurt and need (which I don't say empathetically - you had a shitty father? so do lots of people, get over it). I find this so pathetic - either Trump said - get out there and let my people know and he hired a shitty lawyer who followed that blindly, or he just hired a shitty attention seeking lawyer, and this kind of thing is just bonus attention. In any case, no attention is bad attention....

@Teri_Kanefield @knottedthreads @edgeoforever "Democracy assumes an educated electorate" - you can clearly see the next step here - banning books and threatening teachers at all levels. We need to get to work at every level to protect democracy.
