The more I re-watch Star Trek: Enterprise, the more I realize it was both underrated and not treated respectfully by those calling the shots. Could have been even better, gotten one more season, and not that darn awful last episode!

@Ricardus I agree! I remember that one of the goals of the series was to make the Vulcans interesting (again), and I honestly think they succeeded. Not to mention the brilliant, brilliant Andorian episodes. Love Jeffrey Combs!

@Ricardus Dang! Now I’m even more upset we never got season 5. Shran was a well written character played by an excellent actor. Wouldn’t have minded more of that!

@textfiles Never ceases to amaze, the sheer amount of energy people can devote to writing these things and sending them via email. I’d wager we could resolve many problems if their energy could be aimed at something more useful and productive.

Useful feature I would LOVE to have in any computer system (because this needs to be a system-level feature, dagnabbit):Un-suck textWhenever you run into a horrible block of text that is void of nearly all structure, spacing and proper paragraph structure, the un-suck function would simply divide the text into proper chunks and make it far more readable.I might not be able to help people write better, but I can dream up a technological measure to save my own eyes…

So wait, let mw get this straight;You’re saying if I don’t add ChatGPT to my ‘robots.txt’, OpenAI will gladly scrape my whole website content? Line, hook, and sinker? Even if my website were, hypothetically, filled with absolute nonsense, gobbledygook, and crud? You know, the kind of stuff that would potentially be poison to “A.I.” model training?Just thinking out loud and hypothetically, of course, but what would happen if LOTS of such websites were to spring up all over the web?
