@BrodieOnLinux Marketers so often trick themselves into beliving they're innovators when all they're doing is combining a already existing thing they know with the newest buzzword people have been talking about a lot recently and all that results in is the exact same product but more difficult to use with more points of failure.

@GlitchyZorua To me, the 3DS had the exact same appeal as the DS but with better hardware. The 3d was always a kinda pointless gimmick.The dual screen design is just perfect for handhelds.

@foone especially if it's an entirely arbitrary number like sample rate, I hate that so much.dropdown selections on something that could literally just be a number input field is the bane of my existence.....anyways, in terms of audio work, reaper pretty much never does that on anything. it does have dropdowns for standard values, but you can also put in literally any number you want.

@copygirl I'm always like "good food is the foundation of a good life", you can't feel good if you eat like shit.Love the idea but I'd say it should be about variety too. It's pretty simple to make good food with only two ingredients, salt and a couple spices elaborate but if you ate the same thing again and again you'd get sick of it.So it'd be cool if when you ate the same kind of food a second time the buff gets reduced and a third time stops buffing.

@lauren the term "sideloading" in of itself is complete whack, it's just downloading and installing software. Imagine you were calling shopping from somewhere other than amazon "sideshopping". same energy.Don't legitimaze their practices by legitimizing their terminology.

@Gargron Imagine buying something from a local store instead of amazon was called "sideshopping" and there's a massive campaign to delegitimize buying items from stores not approved by amazon. Completely absurd. Why accept that exact ideology when it comes to installing software on your phone?

"sideloading" is a stupid made up term invented to delegitimize installing software.Heres a bunch of other things I'm doing while "sidestepping" some supposed central authority:- sideshopping (buying stuff from a store that isn't amazon)- sidedining (eating or making food that isn't from mcdonalds)- sidethinking (using my own brain instead of asking chatgpt)- sidelistening (to my own music instead of on spotify)- sidechatting (irl instead of online)#android #sideloading #google #bullshit

@alice I'm pretty sure that even despite this I've seen more pride flags online than country flags and there's a lot more different countries.The only country flag I've seen a comparable amount is Ukraine.
