       @lowqualityfacts The fascinating thing is how little variation there is. The shadow of the Rocky Mountains from end to end only weighs about 5 oz more than the shadow of a gnat. Scientists theorize that shadow weight increases at a logarithmic scale inverse to the weight of its caster to keep the shadow pinned down. Mountains and skyscrapers are heavy enough to keep their shadows down almost entirely unaided, but a bug&#39;s shadow needs more weight to stay on the ground.

       @lowqualityfacts Never in my adult life have I needed to know about California Kick Ball or European Hand Ball, but no one complains about those. As a big slow kid who understood math, I was also angry that speed was graded in absolute terms, but strength was graded relative to weight. Hello gym teachers, ever heard of the square-cube law?!
