@null I feel like I saw a lot of road construction in random places when I was there last year. I can see the farmers complaining because there is almost no public land in the state. Still, for how many cars that could get off the roads among other things, why not use an already made train.

Goal for the end of the year: have my apartment as clean and organized as possible. I'm about to start an almost maxed load of course credits and if I am lucky (haha) I'll get to start my field season right after the term ends.

Downside of moving around a lot for work is you have a tendency to lose things. Finally found my car title again. The safe place was not the usual one. I'm glad I am doing this cleaning/organizing right now since I found some things of value. One was a letter of recommendation from a field job a few years back that gave proper terms for some of what I did. Will help boost the resume a bit again. Also found a personality profile a job made me complete. That provided more of a laugh than anything since it did get somethings very wrong.

Had an "official" interview with the company I've been working for the past few years for this years projects. It'll be different a bit this year and I'll be curious to see which project they decide on. Will only be disappointed if they decide not to bring me on. Keep getting the rejection notices from all the other jobs I applied for.

What a weird couple of weeks. Went from figuring I'd be working the same job again having to travel around for half the year to getting an interview and offer for a completely different position and company that has more potential and more in line with what I want to do. I was not expecting that. The other one is still technically "tentative" but I've got some courses kicking my ass a little to hold me over.

Even though it has only been a few years since I had finished my degree online, going back this year things have certainly changed. There is a huge emphasis in two of my courses on not plagarizing. One was literally telling students to not copy and paste the text for exams. The other was telling students not to submit the same work as other students in the class. Apparently there is an uptick of one person doing an assignment and multiple people submitting the same thing with their name on it. That one required an angry announcement to the class.

I am oddly glad to be able to not have to be on the road half the year for work. Got myself a decent place, actually have decent cofe to buy in the stores, and should be able to save a little money for a change. The downside is this place has shit for internet. Over priced and metered. Opting to stick with my on the road internet isn't what I planned on but it works.

After a bit of chaos and adjusting to work I finally have reemerged. Also, got SMT: Nocturne and been playing that in my spare time. Just as good as I remember just wish they skipped the voice over and some weird adjustments to the dialog.
