@Cbrooklyn112 it happens. I know someone who was drinking and boating and crashed into someone else drinking and boating, both running with no Nav lights on at night. The prop from the other boat sliced up his wife and killed her.

@shebang I was hanging out in buffalo with my girlfriend. Eventually we got married in Canada and returned to the us separately. Then we were able to take our time to save up the money needed for the immigration. A better option than getting married in the States. Foreign marriages green cards are easier..The marriage lasted 12 years and was interesting because it was polyamorous... but we parted ways a while back. Tho I am a full citizen here now.

@ned @jessecoynelson that is my thought as well. Everyone at work is swearing there will be a civil war if Buren wins or if trump isn't allowed to get in, but I am like.... 'who is going to lead the charge'?. Gotta have a unified force to start a civil war. A bunch of pissed off red necks won't get anything meaningful done.

@ned @jessecoynelson I'll agree that it seemingly needs to happen. And I'd participate, as will most of the people I know. But there would need to be a central way to co-ordinate it.In reality, a portion of the armed forces would need to be the driving force. But if the pentagon got wind of a rogue battalion planning things, they would surely create an overseas situation to deploy them to so they aren't a factor.The military ousted most of the patriotic Generals back during Obama's reign.

@methos @eriner That is a bummer. I've been down that path before too. It seems that once we near the end of life and all the work we've done to achieve a meaningful retirement, the government always wants to take everything away. Best thing I have heard to do is to sell most property to the kids at a highly reduced cost, and live without any hard possessions. That way there is nothing for them to take.
