The weirdest research I’ve done for my book lately is looking up what cottonmouth moccasins smell like. I remembered them stinking from when I was a kid, but I couldn’t describe the odor. Apparently, they smell like rotting meat.#writing #writers #writerslife #books #snakes

I discovered several scenes in my novel have the word “sex” instead of a scene. It’s a gay romance. I’m surprised I didn’t just call the thing “book” without another word.
