Success! Used the junk wood that I had lying round, hence why they aren’t all the same shape. But a good way to utilise old decking timber we had lying around from when the builder fixed our deck.

Found a very cheap way to get the corner stakes: bought a box of “kindling” from Bunnings. The pre-made stakes were six for $12. I don’t even know how many of them there are in this box, but it was $16 for way more nice narrow bits of wood. Some of them broke and were a bit hard to nail into but the majority of them worked fine!

I just had an #NZPol thought: can someone make an Official Information Act Request for the documents Winnie claims to have which say that Labour’s Ferries were going to cost more? @sidawson they could stop paying fees to whoever runs Snapper/ATHop et.al. (admittedly a few tens of jobs might be lost as those companies lay off their staff), but other than that it would be a net positive.

@sidawson moving everything to Apple Pay et.al will significantly reduce that because the ewaste will be built into a phone which already will be that one day anyway.Japan and London and probably lots of other places have already done this.

@sidawson speaking as a neurodivergent alphabet soup of a person who is also prone to minor panic attacks when I lose things, I’ll personally take the trackable technology. I use Apple to keep the company-side spying to a minimum.
