Random compaint... Anyone else have a job where if you take time off, none of your work gets done while out? Makes end of vaca stressfull knowing what is waiting at the office.I remember before email (yes I'm old) that everyone would pitch in and cover ppl on vaca.

@redstarfish Totally agree! Windows is nearly unusable for me. I have a macbook air and even that annoys me at times. My Linux Mint desktop is where I do most of my work and couldn't be as effective without it!

McDonald's is going to have adult happy meals in October. I know it's a sales bump tactic but yes I will buy at least one. Love it. I'm basically a big kid and wonder if most other people my age feel the same.

@pmarg sounds great! I used to distro hop a lot but have been on Mint for 3 years now. I wasnt going to upgrade right away but sounds like lots of fun new stuff. Maybe this weekend. 😁

@lauren I'm guessing the api endpoints will still be there but unless the client is THE official Twitter app it won't be accessible? Open apis encourage collaboration, experimentation, etc, but seems that's not what Elon's wants. #Twitter

@leo social media companies make profits by placing ads on content created by users. I'm leaning towards... maybe those companies could spend some of the profits actually moderating the content. Would sure beat the unfiltered cesspool that has become social media in 2023.
