In tears.Got an email from a friend who serves in our state legislature and lives in my tiny hometown of Mt. Tabor, #Vermont. He was eager to tell me that not only were they on for a #NoKings event here at 10:00am, but that 32 people had registered. It’s 2 minutes away.The population of Mt. Tabor is a whopping 210.We are on the Long/Appalachian Trail. Apparently at least eight parties of hikers are going to come down the mountain to join in. They had dreamed that would happen. So #proud.

Guys, you believe the above?? The closest No Kings protest is .8 miles away. Literally two minutes.Apparently my friend in the legislature decided to register Mt. Tabor VT a few days ago, after interest from the 210 locals, and they chose a spot on the “highway” under 2 miles away from the Long/Appalachian trail in hopes hikers might choose to come off trail here, vs the nearest small city. And they are.I absolutely love my state. 💜💜💜@GottaLaff @SnowshadowII

@Nonilex He’s a legend. And may Kevin McCarthy be greatly peeved. That eight hour speech was a tremendous act of courage. He gave voice to many of the newly disenfranchised.
