@That_One_Guy We have a cat that does the very same thing. If a car pulls us that she’s unfamiliar with, or if someone comes into the house, up the stairs she goes. She hides under the covers of the bed in our guest room. She also has the uncanny ability to know when the “intruder” has gone, often coming back downstairs before the car has completely left the driveway.

Today I was up and out early to get errands done. Now that I've accomplished that I intend to spend some time outdoors cleaning up my flower beds in anticipation of spring. First, though, I have to get my mastodon fix. 🙂 #today #SpringIsComing

I’m sipping my iced tea, freshly showered + recovering from our outside work. I think I’ve avoided accumulating ticks or mosquito bites (thanks to excessive amounts of insect repellent) but time will tell. We’ve made a unanimous decision to get mulching done BEFORE June in the future. Other projects can wait, but by now it’s a struggle to get around and behind our plants, especially the hydrangeas. For now I will happily join Slacker Saturday, already in progress. 😉

Good Monday morning. I didn't sleep well last night, so I'm dragging a bit today. Camp is over for my granddaughter, and school doesn't start until the day after Labor Day, so Camp Grandma is in session, at least around her parents' days off. It's going to rain on and off all day, so we've planned a game of inside hide + seek, her choice of board games, and an art contest. Her grampa is always the judge, which gives him heartburn. 😄 Enjoy your Monday as best you can!#Today

I woke up early to a mild and sunny day, which has turned into a gray and drizzly one. Oh well, it’s Monday. Problem is, this is supposed to last all week. Sigh. Lucy has decided she’s going to be cuddly this morning, so my usual Monday chores are postponed for now. There will be time for cleaning later. Good Tuesday morning! We all stayed up too late watching Monday night football, so everyone is sleeping in except me. I'll head out soon to pick up a pumpkin cheesecake at my favorite local bakery. They can make one far better than I can. Other than that, it'll be a relatively easy day. I need to make cranberry orange relish. My daughters and I prefer it over the canned cranberry sauce that my husband and sons-in-law eat. (Is it a gender thing?)Hope you enjoy a good Tuesday!#Today

@jadevol I'm feeling the cold just reading your post. You may want to take that third ride just to keep the blood going! 😊 Our cold isn't coming in until later tonight, but it's so damp I've got 2 layers of clothing on just to stay warm. Stay as warm as you can! I'm going to spend the rest of the afternoon under an afghan, reading.

Good morning. Our visiting family has headed home already, so how I spend my day is again up to me. It’s a luxury of retirement that I never grow tired of. Tonight we’ll attend our local high school’s first football game of the season. Our main reason is to watch our granddaughter in the marching band. It’s icing on the cake that the football team is a good one, so the game itself should be fun. Like the band, time keeps marching on. How did she become a HS student so fast?!#Today

Good morning. I’ve got a cloudy day with rain coming in later, fitting for a Monday. I’ll get my walk in first since the rain may hang around until Wednesday. This appears to be a quieter week on the home front, which is welcome. Maybe I’ll be able to establish a fall routine without juggling visits from family. Good morning. I woke up to rain hitting the window so hard it sounded like sleet. Most of today will be miserable. It remains to be seen if tonight’s home football game will go on tonight. At least my grandchild is in the band and not a football player on the soggy field. It’s nice to see some leaves left on the trees. I’m not ready for bare trees. Most leaves are on the ground however, creating a sloppy mess that’ll take a while to dry out. Another inside day for me. Sigh.#Today
