Happy Friday-eve! I am so glad that I was able to take and post outfit pictures today. There was some kind of accident outside the parking garage yesterday that blocked the entrance, and people couldn’t enter or leave, so I had to park elsewhere. So, this is Pantone's color of the year for 2024: Peach Fuzz.I'm honestly not sure whether or not I like this color. Granted, it might grow on me during the year, but I honestly can't envision me wearing anything in this color.

I still don’t fully understand how defederation works here in the fediverse. For example, take the upcoming Threads compatibility with ActivityPub. I have heard that some instances are preemptively blocking Threads. If the instance I’m on decides not to block, but an instance that I regularly interact with people on does, does that mean the instance I’m on runs the risk of being blocked or defederated also?

Soooooo….I’m pretty sure I sprained or broken my ankle about an hour ago. Won’t know for certain until I can schedule an appointment for an X-ray tomorrow. This isn’t turning out to be a great staycation so far. 😅

I REALLY need to stop comparing myself to others. I’ve been rather inactive during my 3-week staycation, and for the most part, rightfully so, since I am injured and trying not to worry about having surgery. I’m seeing others doing so much during their downtime. And I sit, resting, and feeling a little guilty about it. What I feel most guilty about is that I would probably be doing the same thing if I weren’t injured. I just want to relax, even though I could do so much. 😔

Follow up appointment finished. X-rays looked good, and I seem to be improving, so they don’t believe surgery is needed as long as I keep the upward trend. I also get to wean off the boot and use as needed. 🙏🏼
