I was going to make a salmon roll for lunch. The tin of salmon has been in the cupboard for a long time and I couldn't find an expiry date on it.I opened the tin and had a sniff and discovered I have the COVID loss of smell. My taste is normal but I took the top of a tube of Deep Heat and I can just barely notice a hint of the menthol smell.So the salmon is now in Tupperware in the fridge until I can smell if its going to kill me!

People make weird choices when buying bikes.Today I passed two middle age guys on pricey 'all mountain'/enduro eMTBs with phone holders and mirrors.Then later in the ride I passed a middle age guy in normal street/office clothes riding a downhill mountain bike. And finally I passed a guy on an (e?)fat bike with massive tyres.All riding on suburban bike paths nowhere near even the tamest mountain bike trails ... or snow/beach.

Googling 'LS3 engine' because when I asked the old guy with the black '70s convertible Corvette Stingray what motor it had in it he didn't say 350 or 454.He seemed a bit taken aback that a guy in Lycra on a bicycle was asking.

I just had the clippers out shaving my hair down from about 3-4 cm to a couple of mm.Each time I do this the amount of hair removed is increasingly disappointing.Meanwhile the curly grey hair on the back of my neck seems to get thicker.

Well that was satisfying. I've got 3 old bikes that weren't rideable. There 2017 Specialised Stumpjumper had flat tyres and the rear tyre had completely unseated from the rim. I was amazed that I was able to just pump up the tyre and it reseated ... with some LOUD pops.
