#WritersCoffeeClub What aspects of your current or former profession do you bring into your writing?I used to teach English Lit at university, and my academic work and research had (and continues to have) a great impact on what I write and how I do research for my novels. For example, my last big academic research project focused on the Victorian magazine Punch, which made me decide to set several of my books in the world of Victorian publishing (Allan's Miscellany series, Yuletide Truce).
