Is there any way to make the Mastodon timelines more wide in the browser? With only 1, 2 or 3 timelimes on screen there's a lot of wasted space on the right and the shown timeslines are too narrow. #Mastodon

@Seven Even one race at Bahrain is one too much. That circuit is one of the dullest ever built. Two races at any track is bad because it influences the championship outcome & is less interesting. They should at the very least use different circuit layouts.@Torrone @F1

@ademalsasa I can't switch from WhatsApp since I never used it, because I'm one of the few who read the EULA when WhatsApp was brand new. I use #XMPP since I got my first Android in 2011 & never looked back. To reach iOS users though I still do a mix of SMS, Telegram & E-Mail via DeltaChat until XMPP is fully useable for iOS users.

@gamliel @ademalsasa Yes, that's one of the advantages. Btw the old term Jabber is discouraged to use still, the XSF just wants it to be called XMPP. Pidgin is also very much behind XMPP developments so for PC operarting systems better use Gajim or maybe Dino.

@gamliel @ademalsasa I used Pidgin in the 2000s & it was great. But development in terms of XMPP really fell behind when it accelerated in the 2010s. If it works for you, fine, but expect compatibility problems especially in terms of OMEMO and a lack of important features. Btw Gajim for example allows bridging to IRC so can join IRC chats.

@chriswere I think you guys should first read https://xonotic.org/guide/ and then do another video playing Xonotic together since you missed so many things in terms of movement, weapon features etc.. Afterwards Hex might also not call it another Quake 3 or at least I'm curious what his overall impression would be like with the gained knowledge.

@k9mailThe new UI is awful. Why do software developers constantly feel the need to change UIs, which most often turns out worse. In the new K-9 I can't even mark a mail as unread. Rollback to 5.7x didn't work sadly, so I had to completely reinstall 5.7x. Would be great if there would be a K-9 Classic available or if 5.8 would offer the option to use the old UI.
