@ThomasWic This thread reminds me of something I’ve tried to impress upon my adult children. Wisdom in large part is knowing what you DO NOT know and striving to fill those gaps. When I was in my teens and twenties I was the smartest person wherever I went.....I knew everything there was to know about everything.In my own head.In my 40s and 50s I’ve come to appreciate those things I don’t know.Because...they inherently create opportunities for me to gain knowledge and improve myself!

To ensure the future of our Republic.I was quite unclear of the actual mechanisms that would be implemented, but when you previously highlighted the critical importance of PEADs theseTYPE of actions began to really make sense. And.....they are perfectly lawful and constitutionally derived!Joyful warrior here....what a time to be alive and witness!

@StevenDouglas Wow...great analysis! Not sure how but I missed this thread when initially posted. When Wictor mentioned his hint about congressional rules and procedures I read them all....this was the most likely mechanism by which the “act” of counting the electoral votes could be presented to the public without having any constitutional merit. Pence also distinctly modified some of his wording when accepting these votes.Curious...

@ThomasWic I’ve had my eye on the Monkeywerx guy since early last year.He is observant and well knowledge d in general aviation and specifically military aviation.I have had to learn to sometimes apply a much heavier weight to the knowledge and information presented rather than the personality presenting it. In his case it’s served me well as he does seem to be very on top of military and govt. traffic.

@StevenDouglas great anecdote!I had a mentor through my early years and into my late 20s. His ability to read people and situations was unparalleled and actually quite intimidating. He was a medical Dr. and a naval officer and used his knowledge to further the “interests of the nation”.He taught me to harness and interpret inputs in a similar manner. That ability has been both an asset and a burden at different times in varying situations but I’d not “unlearn” what I know.Thanks

This issue has at times quietly (and not so quietly) been hypothesized by folks who have spent time on two way ranges when gathered outside of those zones. The other more psychologically oriented side of this thesis is that, in my experiences, most combat vets will at some point in their careers develop a skepticism of their own government and its abilities to serve the needs of themselves and their loved ones.
