same thing i did, i swapped to Plex, downloaded all the movies and shows i wanted to watch none of the streamers have and haven't looked back. with a chromebox and my VPN i can also watch Twitch on my big screen with no ads, it's very comfy

i actually think Elden Ring was really close to having a good open world, the game's itemization just sucks ass. once you know your "build" there is literally no reason to visit 99% of the dungeons in the game, you just grab the pieces you need and ignore everything else. the game really needed some level of randomization of loot. doesn't need to be full on Diablo autism with 50 stats and sub stats and procs and stuff but it needed SOMETHING to justify exploring all these caves and shits with items you don't need and can't do anything with if it doesn't fit your 'build'. open worlds aren't too bad when there's stuff going on. whenever i replay Bethesda games i'd always have to download mods to add randomized events and spawns and stuff. STALKER felt really fun to play with the right mods because no two spawns of a fresh area were the same, the mods to Bethesda games kind of give it that same feel where it's a living breathing world and not just empty nothingness between the places the game designers actually designed.

i've been trying to get an old MMO to work with a controlleri've had to go through 5 programs to try to find one that actually worked well - and it's the most jewish piece of software i have ever seen (i would have used Steam input but Valve has shit the bed on it and legitimately has just given up on controller support it seems - issues where you try to save, import or even look up controller bindings and the solution is "post on the forums about it lol" lazy fucking niggers) there's an external program i've also been using that adds a CRT-shader effect (this game came out pre-LCD screens) and i've been trying to pin it to my start menu and windows refuses to allow me to do it. for no reason! then i find out my new browser is slow (i had to switch from opera gx because those retarded faggots think that EMBEDDED ADS FROM THE BROWSER IS A GOOD IDEA) because windows has a "efficiency mode" green cultist bullshit thing where it basically makes your computer suck, on purpose for your "carbon footprint" and you can't turn it off for some programsthis day has been pretty horrible. not fedposting but my god when some guy snaps and goes postal on Microsoft i will 100% understand why
