We had a brilliantly sunny day in Seattle today. This is a six-shot panorama of Mt. Rainier shot with the Sony α1 and a classic Canon FD 300mm f/2.8 lens from the 70s. Contact me if you'd like a print.

I also got a photo of Mt. Rainier 'after' sunset. I drove to a favorite location with a good view of the mountain, hoping to get sunset reds, but low clouds to the west shut down the sunlight. The result is a little bit of warm color in the clouds and on the mountain, but an icy blue scene otherwise.

@lowqualityfacts One more gift that hobbles. I wanted perfection, expected it someday; life is mostly big toes, but the running is somehow still joy. Go figure.

@lowqualityfacts We have a Mini Aussie Shepherd, and she shows her love with a ‘mock bite’, and it took a long while to realize that she really is responsible about that (but: I can incite an entirely different mouth thing if I teaser her, so I don’t tease). Learning to trust and understand animals is a very mind-altering experience, but love is love. I’m glad you’re experimenting with it. I haven’t got the courage to try it with a bird, so I’m pretty impressed with your progress.

@EZLorenzImagery Wonderful shot. The lighting angle really makes it pop.

It's funny how sometimes the most meaningful things are right to hand. I wanted a gift for my wife for our anniversary, and I know how much she loves crocuses in the spring. These were sitting right outside our front door--I just grabbed my camera and took the shot.Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens @1.4 on Sony A1.
