Leven Falls, Auchenhew Bay, #Arran.The notch has been cut over the millennia since the last ice age, through sedimentary rocks deposited over tens of millions of years. The green fields are the old beach, now risen nearly 8 metres due to isostatic rebound. A vertical kilometre of ice pushed the earth's crust down; as the ice melted & water flowed away, the rocks were pushed upwards again. The glacial till from above the cliffs has been washed down to soften the angles of the cliffs. #Geology

@theaardvark Until the BoE (and UK Govt) stop employing people whose only experience of business is drawing theoretical graphs, there is no chance of the UK economy stabilising.People need shelter & food.Making those things more expensive to reduce personal expenditure doesn't work.
