@twizzt refuse whatsapp. I mean it, when someone asks to contact you simply ask whether they have signal, and if not show them a QRCode to https://signal.org/installDid this in Germany, those which actually wanted to contact me and/or cared stayed.

@stux I use appops, through which I can trick apps into thinking they have certain permissions, but when they actually try to use them they get empty or fake data :blobcatdevil:

@FredricT @xerz luckily some components of Android depend on the pure, Android files app. Even if yours includes Google Files - recognisable by colours and the app info - you can setup a shortcut for the AOSP files app.

@sully1503 don't worry, Google's file manager is pretty much only on their own devices and android one devices.They've built too much around the *actual* included file manager to dump it now, including file picker dialogs and more.

@stux it seems that on low-power devices, or just when FPS are low in general, falling through the floor becomes more prominent and player animations completely go crazy...maybe you should check that nothing currently depends on the framerate? 🤔

@QueenValhalla I'd say about 90% of those can be blocked network wide using a custom DNS solution. NextDNS is decent but has a query limit, but if you can self-host things you can run Pi-Hole and customise it all yourself (very low on resources / power draw)
