Just heard from a friend that Express Scripts has refused to mail her prescription for Misoprostol. Not mifepristone, the medication currently embroiled in the court. The other one, for treating ulcers and softening the cervix to aid in the placement of IUDs.Express Scripts is refusing to fill prescriptions for the uncontested, perfectly legal, Misoprostol.#abortionrights #silenceisviolence #burnitalldown

@Lady_Star_Gem Yeah, did that already. On the clearly communicated implication that Biden was only in for 4 years. I am sick and tired of mediocre old white men and the slow walk to hell that's the best they're capable of. Our democracy won't stand four more years of either of those old men.

@Gustodon Gus, I;m 55 years old, been politcally active my whole life and ran for office in 2020. I don;t need anyone to tell me when voting is important. And your post, by the way, is a great to tell me you are a cis het white man in the upper middle class without telling me any of that. I'm a freelance 55 year old Jewish possessor of a uterus and NO, he has not been doing a great job. My rights to exist are more endangered now than two years ago.We are fucked. utterly fucked. Biden was never capable of unfucking us, and the last two years have shown that. He does not have what it takes for us to survive the oncoming storm.

@EppyNWS @Lady_Star_Gem Oh Eppy. This poor Jewish woman would really like to invite you to do something entirely impolite to yourself. The thing I want is to not descend into Gilead. To not fear for my life. For blacks, latinx, Asians, trans folks, gay folks, to not fear for their lives. How do you think, by all that you hold holy, Biden will make us safe? And why do you think Biden can do that? What has done over the past two years to make you think that? Not being Trump isn't enough. It will not keep me and mine safe.

#Today I have called my mom (call yer mom!) and my step-mom, made plans to come visit in three weeks, processed that my nephews are marching in the parade again this year (the one that had a mass shooting last year), and listened to Parable of the Sower for an hour (a re-read, after seeing the opera a couple of weeks ago. It's almost time for lunch to be ready, and then back to #editing about interaction design. (today's goal is an excessive 150 pages. I won't hit it, but I'm behind schedule, so I have to try)

Doose died 10 days ago, and her obits are another violence upon her. She wasn't a mommy blogger, ffs. She was an honest, brutally vulnerable teller of stories. She left a toxic boss and decided to monetize her blog, and that was a magnificent thing to watch/read/be part of. Anyone who uses Patreon or Substack or Medium owes tribute to Doose. If you ever put an ad on your website, you owe Doose.She was the first person we the populace understood to make a living off telling her tales on a blog. And the tales she told were of a person. Who dealt with tragedies and disasters and joys and depression and bad choices and of woman hood and yes, of motherhood. Doose, you were loved and will be missed. We are so sorry it was all more than you could handle. You changed out world. I hope we made yours better, and wish we had done more. I hope someone writes your story.
