The whole reason they want 'cis' to be a slur is because they do not want to be named.The unnamed is the default normal. If you have a label, you are a sub-category. To them, this feels like a downgrade.But we are all lots of little sub-categories of humans - some with clear and well-known labels, some with fuzzy edges and differing uses. That's OK. There's nothing wrong with being a member of a sub-category of human. That is, in fact, normal. Because there is no singular 'normal' human.

Reminder that although it can help some people to have pronouns in your profile, pressuring people to put pronouns in their profile can forcibly out people or lead to misgendering (eg I am non-binary, but my pronouns are she/her/hers and this can make people gender me as a woman because they make binarist assumptions about language).It's nice if allies put pronouns in their bio, but it should never be forced. You don't know who is cis, trans, or nb or why they don't want to share pronouns.

@john nah, I love Douglas Adams and have strongly disagreed with that quote for decades. My opinion didn't change after the age of 35. Things mive too fast now for most people of my generation and younger to think like that.The problem with so-called AI is not my age (I have been knowledgeably pro AI for many, many years) it's the THEFT.
