@RicardusRex every rural kid in Iowa either has a pump shotgun or has access to one. It’s difficult to hunt pheasants with an AR15. They will have a terrible time telling rural people they have to give up their shotguns. Even Uncle Joe advocates for owning a shotgun.

@ReadyKilowatt I met a guy while hiking the Smokys who shot and killed a black bear that was attacking him. He had legal issues from it for years. The only thing that kept him out of prison was a witness that happened to be headed down the same trail. The dude was sitting on a fallen tree eating lunch and unknown to him were two cubs in the tree above him. The sow was on him before he knew what was going on. Always carry if you can, you don’t pick the life or death situation.

@WandringKnight back in the late 90’s as a young Joe in the army we sold plasma for beer money. I think they offered $50, $50 and $75 for yhe third donation. I vividly remember them paining a fingernail with some material that was checked so we could not sell somewhere else for 24 hours or so.
