Why I hate the police: a threadAight so, for those of you who don't know I was born and raised in Germany and then moved to the US over 2.5 years agoBack in Germany, the police have a stick up their butt, that's just kind if the entire country but (personally) I've never had an entire where they were trying to do anything but help and do their jobs like they're supposed to, they're kind as long as you're doing what you're supposed to

American police, however, also have a stick up their ass, but this specific stick is less a bureaucratic I'm serious because I'm at my job type stick, and moreso I'm higher than you and could make anything illegal right now and you're at my mercy kind of way, verging on superiority complexNow, I've had the shit beaten out if me by both the police and the polizei on several occasions

The times I got got by the polizei, from the perspective of Law Abiding Citizen™ I deserved it, I was aggressive, I was actively Not Being A Great Person not to unleash my Traumatic Background too muchIn America I was also those things, but I was also just homeless and foreignIn Germany, when I got my ads beat the minute I was taken down/subdued/whatever, they stopped, that was itIn America, they keep going

I didn't intend on spending the night there, I just got tired, sat down and accidentally fell asleepI got wake up in the middle of the night by a cop who proceeded to yell for me to move to go somewhere else and without going into detail (bc ye know, Trauma™), brutalized me
