They were saying those places attract people who want more power and the possibility to rule over others, while giving the ruler the illusion they know what's best for people.What one ruler might consider ethical, the majority might disagree with

@Radical_EgoCom Only question at the moment is are you aiming for Socialism or Communism for this party? It clearly states socialism on point 5, while a lot of the previous points seem to describe communism.

@Radical_EgoCom Make sense, were you going to mention your goal of communism in the party description? Where would you try to get this party implemented at? You could try in the Eu, while the u.s I don't think it would be too simple being down to just two political parties, Democrats and Republicans.

@Radical_EgoCom Sounds like something interesting if you can get the news to cover your forming party then hopefully you'l be ready to debate your party's position with people.Where could people look for this party say 5 years from now to learn about it?Could you see it as an unofficial 3rd party in addition to the current structure, that works it's way toward being an official party? Or that just stays as a 3rd party, political party?

@Radical_EgoCom I agree that we don't want fascist and capitalists running over the platform. Mastodon has been a welcoming tolerating and social media for people with different preferences.One way that Mastodon devs strives to maintain this is the Mastodon covenant, servers follow it in order to be featured officially.Server admins should tackle servers/users with the purpose to spam/harm other servers and/or users.

@Radical_EgoCom I don't know much about managing a political party, but I think I would.a. get the party out there.b. do what you can do advertise the party to people. vie tv, internet, magazines and why it should matter to people.c. dismiss verbally why communism isn't evil and other lies, and maybe publish some books.d. Lastly and probably the most important for a communist party, consider what you shouldn't do, that may affect reputation of your party, especially your current supporters.

@Radical_EgoCom wgat would happen to Karen videos posted to social media that might happen to display hateful content, but the purpose isn't to spread the hate but to either expose its harms or spread awareness of the harms under your proposed system? Would it all be banned despite the actual intent because it contains hateful speech? Does intent matter, or would all hate speech be banned regardless?

@Radical_EgoCom @nlupo @overanalytcl The only thing about stopping a counter revolution is you'd probally want more people to understand your motives, especially as a libertarian/anarchism communist.They would need to understand why you want a temporary state, even though your saying ultamately you wish to dismantle those. If people don't understand from top to bottom your thought process on it they'l see nothing but authoritarianism, no matter how good the propasal means for society.

@Radical_EgoCom I want to try this proposal, where you only have socialist and Communist parties. I would support a non capitalist society. Does this prevent anarchist parties, as your post says only Communist and Socialist parties? Probably an obvious answer. While anarchism isn't necessarily communism, it's not capitalism and likely not reactionary.

@Radical_EgoCom 1/2 I think the reason the right is not divided with themselves is because they generally believe in the same things and there might not really be that many differences if there are any it likely is personal opinionated and those may be very few in between.While anarchist and Communist as you mention, we might have a few differences such as 'do we want a temp state or not, or do we be authoritarian or not.'

@Radical_EgoCom One thing you could do is make an account on Lemmy. On Lemmy, you can make a community and have potentially longer more in deph conversations with people who go onto your Lemmy community.Lemmy works like Mastodon, you got to pick a server to join and, the communities can be made by anyone. Lemmy is similar to Reddit.Lemmy federated with other Lemmy servers like Mastodon does and all communities on other servers typically would be accessible to other servers.
