A neighbor hesitantly asked if she might cut a few stems from my lawn for a small bouquet. She looked worried, like this might actually be a problem 😂. Take all you want, I said. It won’t make a dent in them.BTW: Turns out the horticultural reference sites, that say oxeye daisies will be killed by winter temps under 20 degrees Fahrenheit, are completely and utterly incorrect. #bloomscrolling

For anyone who is considering it for their own org, I shifted my org to a four day workweek several months ago, just as others globally are starting to (including, civil servants in Scotland!)100% endorse. We are getting the same amount of work done because we are less bored, stressed and tired. We all take off Fridays. Everyone’s pay remained the same. Some people use the time for a paid second gig. Others to volunteer or like me, to read a book with a cat snuggled near by. #4dayworkweek

Speaking as one of the thousands of people in the American northeast who got both shots late Friday (flu and covid) because perfect, stormy weekend weather to get hygge with it, my ass is beat and I’m going to bed now, before 5pm.

@futurebird It can help a lot to understand yourself and your reactions to the world. I did get ear plugs and ear filters for noisy places, and pay more attention to my need to stay away from crowds. It helped with self care. It also helped me feel better because certain things are not ‘my fault’ anymore, they are just the way I’m built.

@futurebird “Paying for the accommodation of himself and his servants while making up his books and reporting to Cromwell’s office, he explained, took up a great part of his salary. @futurebird I’d define “large number” in your initial email. Everyone’s idea of large is different. I would also give a timeline, because they might say no to next week but yes to next month. Unusual requests can be stressful, be kind by being clear about what you are looking for.

@futurebird Thanks for including the link, just bought one! Also, their “nature is anti feminist” is fascinating (and deeply feminist)
