       Hi I'm Red. I've been on masto for a long time but this here is my pagan alt for posting about magic and spirituality.  I am an animist primarily, but I view my animism through an old Norse lense.  My primary god is Tyr, and I have a close connection with Fenris and Tyr's relationship, but I also pay tribute to other gods and my ancestors.  I believe Norse spirituality is for everyone and I strongly oppose supremacists and Nazis co-opting the space for their own evil ends. I view gods as personifications of Jungian archetypes, and I believe that myth, legend, and magic are an essential part of the human experience.  Stories drive most aspects of our lives and gives us the context necessary to connect to one another, while also driving us to commit terrible acts.  We are sorry driven beings, and the stories we choose to emulate define us.  It's for these reasons I also enjoy tarot.  Currently trying to learn rune casting and creating staves, bind runes and sigils as well.

       The thing about having runes prominently displayed on my body is sometimes I get weird looks, and it's hard to tell if those weird looks are because I'm a man with painted nails or because the runes make them think I might be a nazi.  I try to stay away from the more recognizably Nazi runes like Odal, but alas.
