@futurebird it's ridiculous. They're upset because a public figure, once upon a time holding the highest office in the land, was openly fact checked by moderators the way anyone might be fact checked when interviewing for a role in public office. Typical conservative entitlement.

@mike all I'm picturing is, somewhere in the stands, there's a patriot in a MAGA hat insisting that minimum wage staff be held accountable and hand deliver the hot dog they pre-ordered for a cancelled event, insisting their rights and liberties are being denied, moments before they're whisked off into the atmosphere by a powerful guest of wind, never to be heard from again.

@paul @fcktheworld587 that's an interesting article! It raises some good points about how "race" is sometimes a proxy for geography in medicine.In blood banking, the distribution of certain blood traits is linked to "race" but it's also more a geographic artifact. I'm east European and it's thought my ancestors 900 years ago were Mongols, and this is why we have more Type B blood in that part of the world. Eastern Europeans don't identify as Asian, but "race science" might suggest we are.
