I think it could be legitimate. One of the things you will see a lot if you respond to medical emergencies is women getting hurt/dying because they're in trouble but don't tell anyone. The classic example is someone choking on food at a restaurant - men will gasp, get help, someone will do the Heimlich, and they'll laugh then finish their dinner. Women will scurry away to the bathroom and die in a stall because they don't want to embarrass themselves. Some women take advantage of men's inclination to help, but they often do need help. I don't look down on women for hiding their troubles, it's how God made them. Men are there to protect them; damn the ones who take advantage of that to set men up.

Even if you start with government-run monopolies like some states do with liquor, corporations will find a way to profit from it somewhere along the supply line, and that gives them an incentive to grow the market. Jails won't solve the drug problem, but legalizing it isn't the answer. Keep it illegal and tackle the real problems in the interim (broken families, quack doctors, communities full of niggers, complete neglect of entire sections of the country like the Appalachian region)

My area had overloaded hospitals and it was one Covid transport after another. There were some very sick people who seemed healthy without underlying conditions in their history. It wasn't the case everywhere but it wasn't entirely fabricated. Just exaggerated. Not that it really makes a difference but if you lived in a real hotspot I can see why you would assume the world was ending.
