@lightweight The only reason I have Windows on a computer is for some proprietary design programs that the FOSS equivalent sucks big time. If AutoCAD (or TurboCAD), ZEMAX, and LtSpice had Linux equivalents...or they ran under WINE, then I wouldn't have Windows.

@vik @aharsant @lightweight FreeCAD's main problem is still the UI. There are so many options and designing an object is way down the list. There are a couple of good videos out there that tell you change the option that is the opening one. I installed the Windows version and have been playing with it. My current Linux machine is a Nvidia Jetson Nano and I intend to play with DNNs on it. I have a desktop with Ubuntu. I probably will set it up and update it.

@vik @aharsant @lightweight I have several Raspberry Pi 3 about. I need to benchmark them against the older desktop. I wouldn't be surprised if the RPi is faster.

@lamp While it is possible to make anything foolproof, it is impossible to make anything damned fool proof.

@Raspberry_Pi It will be interesting to see what happens to the $75 Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB on Amazon for over $200. I assume there are going to be a bunch of scalpers out there who are going to be scalped. Too bad Amazon doesn't have a feature to allow you to block a retailer.

@twitnews When making the processor faster does not make the computer faster, why would anyone want a new processor? Work is needed on memory, mass storage, and architecture.
