Terrible freaking timing getting sick AGAIN. 🙃 I had stuff planned for this weekend. My dad's also sick. Not COVID, both of us tested several times over the course of a few days, but still freaking annoying.

Update: We both have #COVID. Test is positive now, FOUR days after my throat started hurting and I tested every single day. My dad sent a picture of his positive test in the family group chat, so I tested again. Yesterday I had my worst day (so far) with a bad headache. I didn't check for a fever.The only time we were around people together was on the 26th. I wish people took more direct responsibility and continued testing before a family event.So that's round number 2.

Another update: As soon as my wife wrote into the family group chat that I'm positive, and my dad joined in, two other people said they also tested positive. 😬No doubt, someone attended the family gathering with COVID.Explains my body aches as well.

@mephisto @chris @senficon @bkastl @mspro Kann ich ganz genau so bestätigen. War am Abend des 25. auf Familienfeier, 27. Start der Symptome (Halsschmerzen), erst am 30. Abends positiv mit Schnelltest. Bei meinem Papa dasselbe.

@mephisto @chris @senficon @bkastl @mspro Ist sehr ärgerlich, da es die ganze Situation nur noch unkontrollierbarer macht. Wir brauchen eigentlich neue Tools, aber mit dem Stand der Dinge wird das einfach nichts. 🤧

@mephisto Same here, wir waren in Öffis und Supermärkten und sogar im Planetarium mit Maske unterwegs und dann steckt man sich natürlich auf der Familienfeier an, wie soll es auch anders sein. 😂

Why would I ever go back to watching streaming services with 5x 48 second ads within a 45 minute episode? It's 2023 and I haven't watched cable TV in over 15 years for a reason. 🙃

@mephisto Das sowieso! Ich als archive whore mache mir seit einigen Monaten wirklich Sorgen um digitale Daten die uns in den letzten 30 Jahren schon verloren gegangen sind.Das wird für die letzten 10 "social media" geprägten Jahre nur noch schlimmer sein/werden. 😱Bin nur froh, dass es zumindest in den Games-Bereichen genug Retro Fans gibt um abandonware zu retten.
