@pybonacci I've just found Spot: https://spot.ecloud.global/ It's an opensource "metasearch engine" that aggregates other search engines (you can see which ones on each result), but anonymizing everything. At least, that's what they say. No idea yet about how good it is, I still need to test it more.

@pybonacci @marcelcosta You don't need an extension to add a search engine to Firefox: open the main page, click on Firefox's address box and on the bottom of the menu you'll see a list of all the search engines set for the browser, together with a button to add the current page to the list of search engines. Finally, go to Firefox settings and under Search options, pick the new search engine as default. After that, just type on the address bar and Firefox will use the new search engine.

@canaimagnulinux A ver, por dónde empiezo... está bien que Tesla fue un ingeniero brillante que aportó grandes invenciones (no en vano en el SI la densidad de flujo magnético lleva su nombre), pero la lista que has escrito allí es un puro disparate sin sentido. Lo más cercano a la realidad es el último punto... y digo cercano porque él NO inventó el motor de corriente alterna: creó el primero que servía para algo, lo cual está muy bien. Los demás puntos... madre mía...

@ZachWeinersmith Every single quote from an ancient thinker is 1. Presented out of context. 2. Interpreted with our modern view of the world. Short quotes tell more about the person using the quote than about the person who originally said it, and almost every time they hide an "argument from authority" fallacy.

@ZachWeinersmith as I understand it, LLMs interpolate while humans have the ability to extrapolate. In order to extrapolate from a limited dataset, you need a model of reality, and LLMs don't have one, they just look for the most likely token to drop next to the previous one. They may (just may) be able to find interesting connections between data points, but they cannot go outside their training box.
