       When I watch anime of Madoka's ilk, I don't really see an attempt to critique the Magical Girl genre - I just see an attempt to punch down at media typically enjoyed by women.

       Because really, if Madoka was using the pretense of subversion, what WAS the theological point that it was trying to make, other than "Wow, the arbitrary rules of this fictional universe sure are fucked up for a Magical Girl show, huh?"

       I don't think Madoka is subversion. It's just an attempt to make the genre "darker" to appeal to people who don't like the upbeat and hopeful tone of MG shows. And when you're dragging something *down* like that, especially a genre enjoyed mostly by women, you need a GOOD reason.

       One of the main activities at a caucus is evidently trying to convince undecided voters to come to their side, but... who the hell is politically-involved enough to go to a caucus but is still undecided, while still being easily-swayed enough to be convinced AT a caucus?

       I’m honestly kinda eager to switch back to iOS from Android. I’ve gotten increasingly disillusioned and creeped out by Google services, as well as a growing boredom with omnipresent “flat” Material Design.
