@neo it's pretty much plug and play, the open source drivers got you covered.If you really want, you can install AMD's drivers. I never do, the open source drivers are great.

@neo If you want to squeeze every last drop of performance from the card, go ahead and use AMD's proprietary drivers.The open source drivers are rock solid and good enough most of the time, and get regular contributions from AMD which is more than we can say about nVidia.

@neo @lanodan that is a wise decision. Not having to deal with broken X installation every nVidia release cycle has saved me a large amount of aggravation over the years.

@tomjennings I never used DESQview/X before, but I got curious enough to get this running in MS-DO 6.22 under VirtualBox because I'm a sucker for forgotten software. Took me a while as it would not work in FreeDOS for some reason.I would have been much happier with this that Windows 3.1 at the time.
