I have trauma connected to my work life and so I often struggle with attaining enough cognitive abilities in the worst cases, but the solution for such is to do stuff anyway. You have to whoosh away just the right brainworms so you can start. You need to learn to stay in motion, no matter how slow you are. You may even talk loudly about your thoughts just so the nausea doesn't hit you. In the case if you feel resistance while working. Imagine it as training with weight. One day you can drop a lot of weight. You mean past will be fully accepted and integrated into your self. And that day you will feel like your level of mastery is doubled!
