40 years ago today, on the 24th of November 1983, the first Discworld book, "The Colour of Magic" was published.After this, Sir Terry Pratchett averaged two novels a year until the posthumous release of The Shepherds Crown in 2015.It's impossible for me to overstate the impact Discworld books have had on me. yo someone finally found out the source of that picture of isopods eating a bag of doritos!sadly the tumblr link has no image descriptions. long story short, it was a marine biologist named Aaron Baldwin who was working on an expedition in the Gulf of Mexico in 2004. he was transporting some dead isopods to the freezer to preserve for study and spotted the packet of doritos, so he arranged them and took the photo. no photoshop!https://www.tumblr.com/hasellia/735866087599751168/with-the-current-discourse-on-plagiarism-thanks
