We have only had 2 republicans win statewide elections since we started mail in ballots. Our politicians, courts, and bureaucrats are all corrupt.Regardless of all that, you have fewer liberals because they came to Oregon!

@LoveAlmonds I was in the City a couple years ago. I was driving through the Russian Hill neighborhood and the car in front of me stopped in the middle of the block, a guy got out, broke the window of a parked car, and robbed it. We were shocked. I honked and tried to go around the car but my friend was scared they would shoot us or something so we just waited and watched.My father is from the City, spent my childhood summers there, so sad to see what it has become.

@LoveAlmonds The same trip my kids and I walked 2 blocks from the hotel to the restaurant. We saw multiple people doing drugs and one vomited right in front of us. I've seen people drop trou and poop (in Portland too, lucky me!) I decided I couldn't take them there again.It's a shame, my maiden name is O'Farrell and we have a long history in the City. There is a street named after our family as well as a cable car. It makes me sad to see what it has become.

Now that I'm traveling across the country I find misconceptions about various states amusing.My favorite misconception about Oregon is that we live in constant snow all winter. It rarely snows where I live. Oregonian think the Gulf states have their houses blown away by hurricanes annually, or floods, or tornados, and that's if the alligators and snakes don't get ya first 🤣Do y'all see Oregonians the way this article describes? @waronmorons Right!? I just spent 2 months in Florida and nearly everyone that I met who had never been to the PNW thought we had snow all winter. East of the cascades sure, but not west. I think they believe every state north of them is wall to wall snow all winter. In their defense, many states are...I posted pics of us in kayaks with gators in the water and my friends back home thought I was endangering my kids 🤣

This is the public school district that my kids would go to if I sent them to public school. Interestingly the private school they attended had a disproportionate number of kids with parents who are public school teachers.I've been traveling through the south for nearly 4 months and one of the best parts about it is realizing the most of the country is not as bad as Oregon. Except for New Orleans 🤣

As a landlord in Oregon, I saw this coming. Politicians have been working to move people into multifamily housing for decades. Who benefits from rent control?Who benefits from an eviction moratorium?Not tenants or smaller landlords. I'm selling the majority of my investments in Oregon and moving them out of state because their is no justice in Oregon anymore. @JesseStone I had a friend who worked for the state of KY in the early 80's. He took the fall for some corrupt politicians and abruptly left the state. He would laugh that it wasn't shocking that all the politicians were taking bribes, what was shocking was how inexpensive it was 🤣
