I have an intuitive feeling that all of this is intimidation and bluff. Mainly aimed at the Venezuelan military - giving them inventive to 'cancel' Maduro and install a more US friendly government.Already the US has put a price on Maduro's head, blocked drug profits (probably mostly paying for the Venezuelan military), and now putting troops nearby - meaning the military brass is going to have to put their lives on the line for Maduro's sake.Given all of this pressure, I could easily see a coup happening even before the CIA tries anything new and well before there is any boots-on-the-ground US military involvement.https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/us-masses-10000-troops-near-venezuela-top-admiral-resigns

I'm very bullish on this particular nuclear company. Their tech is realistic, doable now, and reactors are tiny, meltdown-proof, and can be mass produced at scale -- no new technology required. They are now starting the first physical phase of construction -- a key milestone toward securing an NRC construction permit in early 2026. While I am certain this is a paid zerohedge article, I follow many nuclear startups and I think this one has a solid technical foundation. Further it "should" need only a relatively tiny amount of capital to get going (one never knows about potential mismanagement), but functionally, implementing this tech is easy compared to all other projects I am aware of.https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/nano-nuclear-begin-drilling-kronos-microreactor-university-illinois

Something brewing down under ... share it around (32 min. video). Perhaps this system they are developing can be copied in other corrupt nations (all of them lol). No solution is perfect of course - but a moral man doesn't make perfection the enemy of the good and we have to start somewhere. My aim is always greater and greater decentralization of power. Given how centralized things are, doing anything at the grassroots level is almost certainly an improvement.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIJSj1qW4dQ

The "No Kings" crowd are complete and utter FOOLSThey seek submission to absolute kings - just one's that are not seen. They want an entrenched oligarchy to rule quietly behind the scenes. They demand more government, modern monetary theory at home and abroad, and the replacement of Trump (or any outspoken critic of the State (oligarchic power center) with a literal figurehead who won’t challenge the globalist oligarchy (who are always working to centralize power into fewer and fewer hands). These fools are ecstatic about turning away from human freedom and flourishing in favor of submission to hidden authority -- bending the knee to those who seek to be their masters.Let's be real here - Trump sucks. But he is the current least sucky guy to fill the vacuum. Why is there a vacuum? Because people continue to accept this nightmare called democracy, so will keep voting for anti-human people. The hard reality is that there is ALWAYS AN OLIGARCHY because there are always those humans who have more skills, or money, or charisma ... and they will always have more influence than the average person does - hence in any system of authority, these people will always shape the policy of that system of authority. To say "No kings" is to deny reality. It's never a question of kings or no kings, it's only a question of what system of authority to you want to live under. Myself, I prefer a decentralized system where you can actually walk up to the house of your chosen leader and throw tomatoes at him -- as the further distant you are from those who set the rules, the less potential influence you will have to shape those rules and to support your own freedoms and desires.

Stop pulling the wagonSo many folks are telling me the gov did this, the gov did that, the gov should do this, the gov should do that .... but all of this is less than useless. They aren't even moving the deck chairs on the titanic, they are standing around debating how the deck chairs should be moved. What everyone needs to understand - the banking system has reached the peak of it's money-as-debt ponzi - it's at the point, where people's incomes are no longer sufficient to repay current debt levels, which means less new debt issued ... which means mass monetary deflation (not price deflation), as old debts are continually paid off and that money is extinguished. There is nothing the gov will do about this, except work to find ways to print more money at the federal level (e.g. through stablecoins mostly I suspect). Yet, such issuance will only facilitate the financial markets, not the little guy.Everything the gov does now is just window-dressing and distraction from the collapse. What can you do that's realistic? Get to ground. Develop local connections for trade and barter. Grow your own food and learn to preserve and store it. Buy quality tools for your garden and home. Develop a product or two from your home for trade. And if you have spare capital, get some silver. What's not realistic is attempting to fix the gov or worse, just complaining about it.

All fiat loans from banks are fraudulent, plain and simple. If you borrow fiat from a bank you are participating in fraud.I hear many pundits complain about inflation and 'money printing' ... and 99% of them all blame the FED. But the truth is - the truth most don't want to hear or admit to, is that most of the fiat printing is done by people taking out loans from banks.Fiat currency is all debt-based. All of this is very inflationary and all of it was created out of nothing but fake promises. All of it is also fraud, because new fiat created from nothing takes it's value from all other fiat in circulation (diluting it). But there is only a contract between the lender and the lendee - no contract with the average Joe who's pocket money get's devalued because of that contract and that is why it's fraudulent - you've taken wealth from another without their permission - not at the point of a gun, but rather in a sneaky and fraudulent way. Maybe you didn't know you were doing this when you took out loans in the past, but ignorance is not an excuse - you are still guilty of fraud if your name is on the contract with the bank and you received the funds.

One of the major issues with a UBI that I don't see addressed anywhere ... is that "the dog does not bite the hand that feeds it" and a UBI would turn the entire population into dogs of the State. In turn this would allow the State to get away with any crime and the people would not complain much about it.This functionally means an end to the the check on power that is the ballot box - which is already a highly degraded power due to all the leftist handouts.AI and improved robotics will destroy jobs ... but it will also greatly reduce prices -- particularly if you switch out of fiat and into sound money as well as investments that offer a dividend or some form of profit for your family.Whatever you do though, don't accept a UBI. If you do, the State will slowly but surely turn your society into an open-air prison and your children will become the playthings of the oligarchy.https://www.zerohedge.com/personal-finance/universal-basic-income-making-slavery-great-again

The legit solution to the the peak debt ponzi is a debt jubilee, but that's politically untenable as the bankers and retiree's would not accept the consequences. So the politically viable solution is to extend and pretend. In another 20 years (max IMO) we will be back at the same point (where incomes can no longer support mortgage debt) and what will they do then?

All stablecoin issuers are like banks - they are creating dollars at a 1:1 reserve ratio. The stablecoin legislation was created for the very purpose of accepting this process, legalizing it, and allowing banks to do it too ... why? Because they want more money printing to ease the debt. Same with the new 50 year mortgage plan - it all drives money printing and monetary expansion (inflation). The government wants it because it will make it easier to keep funding the government by reducing the gov debt/GDP ratio.https://www.zerohedge.com/crypto/why-tether-acting-more-central-bank-stablecoin

Bitcoin, silver, and gold ... or BUST!Fiat money is debt-based and most comes into existence through fraudulent (but allowed by governments everywhere) bank 'money' creation practices. The banksters create the principle for a loan, but not the interest, which translates into more actual debt than there is fiat to pay it back ... and in turn that creates a scenario where we need exponential growth in the number of new loans or the system becomes a game of musical chairs, except instead of chairs, it's houses and cars that are taken away by the banks. If real money were used instead of fiat debt-based currency, we would have a stable economy. Further it would no longer resemble the rat-race of today. Sadly, people love to be slaves to the banksters and seem to love their own suffering. Wake up and free yourself by converting your fiat into real money.

Musk clearly doesn't understand that there are unlimited demands and always (at any given time) a limited supply. Therefore there will always be a need to ration and the only workable way to ration is via sound money. Of course there are always fraudsters (they call themselves socialist usually, but basically mobsters) who want to use some other means of rationing to facilitate their own personal enrichment.
