People are totally welcome to follow me without having read my bio. There isn't anything interesting in there, anyway. Prospective followers do not have to agree to some formal code of conduct in my pins or whatever. Worst that'll happen, I will block them if they turn out to be immature. My precious companion rat Shadow died this morning. She had to be euthanized following a respiratory crisis that started last night, and was the end result of a lifelong chronic infection. I feel confident that I did everything possible for her, but in the end, none of us will escape death. She was refusing food and water following her crisis, and I felt like any continued support would be futile and cruel.Shadow was a very gentle, sweet, sensitive, and kind soul. She was a friend, confidant, and a source of immeasurable emotional support. Her companionship will be forever missed. I loved her.
