I was going though the list of people I follow yesterday and I noticed that a lot of them are trans people. Why, I wonder?Well, it's not such a mystery. It's the humour. It's the deviance, the unorthodoxy. It's the brightness and colour, the diversity, the difference, the freshness. It's the in-jokes and cultural references that I'll never get and claim no right to. It's the gentleness, the empathy. It's the fighting spirit, it's the defiance, it's the determination to be real despite everything. @BarrenPlanet Lol, they're brilliant and I love them. Last summer was an arms race in our garden; like you the aim with the bird feeders was always to feed the small birds. The crows and blackbirds got leftover pasta, apples, bread (I know) and whatever else was going. I'd long given up on mesh peanut feeders, the crows just peck their way through the wire. Likewise seed feeders, they either figured out how to get the top of or they managed to tip out the contents. So I switched to suet balls and bought a squirrel-proof steel feeder and that worked - the crows can't open it, they can't reach through it, they can't tip out the feed. But then rats figured out they could run up the tree and out onto the branch where the feeder was hanging...I'd come out in the morning to top up the feeder and there'd be a fat rat squatting INSIDE the bloody thing and another half dozen of them on the ground picking up the bits that were falling out. Eventually I had to string a thin wire between two trees and hang the feeder there. Now neither crow nor rat could serve themselves. Then the starlings came...

@gamingonlinux Why let it bother you that much? I don't mind if you block me for this, but from following you since more or less I started on mastodon, you do seem to let yourself get riled up about all sorts of things. Some are things that would piss anyone off, some are maybe less important?Don't wear yourself out man, it's OK to let some stuff just wash over you!
