@JoshuaSlocum @patris @jb Yep.I’ve got a week left to decide if I want to drop insurance this year.Would probably get that Amazon Prime thing for teladoc (If someone needs a prescription). If something catastrophic happens that costs 6-7 figures, I guess bankruptcy it is.Maybe first try the $5 a month payment plan and just never pay it off.If they sue and get a judgment though then not many other options.

@psychopantz @Kalogerosstilitis2RevengeoftheJunta @Honkers @NoDoxGregBrady @thefinn if you like the skin/back fat get some Chicharrones.Deep fried skin/fat.They sell them in bags also in the chip aisle, but aren’t quite the same. And if you get those have to get the kind with fat also. Some of those are just airy fried skin.

@NoDoxGregBrady If you like country music, go way out.We don’t go out as much as we used to.But this place was way out in the country.Literally an old barn/building about 5 miles from the nearest small town.Probably about 45 minutes from downtown Raleigh, NC.Only open on Saturday nights with a live cover band (also opens NYE).https://youtu.be/I8UEFt8QB6I

@ACL9000 @fknretardlol @s2208 I’m guessing half the wrecks you’re dead no matter what, and the other half gear and helmets make the difference in what life is like afterward (short term or long term).I’ve been in one motorcycle wreck.Glad I didn’t bounce my head off the ground without a helmet and filet my skin off my body.

@ACL9000 I had a big old bruise on my outer thigh, but motorcycle jeans, jacket and gloves saved all my skin.

@ACL9000 It was a great bike. That’s the one I wrecked, tore up the side a bit.I rode it home with no rear brake but still had my front brakes.insurance totaled it though, probably cause the frame was scratched so replacing it would have put it over the value.

@ACL9000 @Paleface Just being straight here, at least from my point of view.It is true that a huge chunk of the women aren’t fixable, and it is only about high status and wealth, while they have a disgusting past (and possibly present, or only “changing” because they are aging out). And many of the women on the dating sites will be like this. But even though it’s cliche, the best actual marriage material women are generally found in church or real community. You can’t just go to church or enter a community, pick out a woman and blaze off into the distance with her.You have to actually be a part of the community and earn the respect and trust while actively involved. It‘s not the only way, but the good women are often times found there. Then for those women (and their families), I won’t say they don’t care about status at all, but they are generally more concerned about your stability and ability to provide. You have to show/prove that even though you may never be rich, that you will continually do what’s necessary to provide for them. And that’s not to say that they won’t work hard (whether that be in the home or a job), but they don’t want to have to carry the bulk of the weight of keeping the family afloat.

@leyonhjelm @TruckDriver @disclosetv Yeah.It really comes down to what’s in your heart at that time and if you truly have faith.Or if it’s lip service as an “insurance policy.”The thief on the cross.

@ACL9000 Once you can do inspections you have a built in side hustle.$100 under the table to pass the tuner boys with no cats, and the jacked up trucks with no mufflers.Just don’t get caught.

@mothersmurfer @TrevorGoodchild Extremely rare, but they can, I work with one.I’d hold out judgement on this one though, if they are monetizing it high likelihood grifting is a big part of it.They may actually somewhat believe what they are saying, but the grift takes precedence.Trying to get on that Candace Owens/Hodge Twins money train. The white peoples (mostly boomers), oh look a black person agrees with me.

@ACL9000 @CobaltSasquatch There probably isn’t any bread right now, too late in the day. They blow it out here early in the day once you fill the shelf.I’m a bread man in Raleigh.Get it first thing in the morning after the bread vendors arrive, cause after a few hours on the shelf ours will be gone.We are supposed to be getting extra from the bakery tomorrow, and they are pushing our Saturday order into Friday to get it out before the storm hits.

@ACL9000 @CobaltSasquatch This is our Fri/Sat snow forecast. If this happens the whole city will shut down.Southern cities don’t have the snow removal infrastructure to handle that.I’m more worried about freezing rain/ice, that takes out power/lines.Although I’ve got a diesel heater set up, 110V or 12V car battery if the power goes out. These cheap Chinese heaters work, especially in the south where we all have heat pumps.Heat pumps basically stop working in the 20°’s F and run 24/7 and auxiliary heat is resistance heating; gets real expensive.Diesel heater can keep my downstairs at 72 and upstairs 69 when the temps are in the mid 30’s and up.And 67/66 when in the mid 20’s.Heat pump/aux heat won’t kick in until it gets into the low 20’s, with the thermostats set at 67 and 66.

@CobaltSasquatch @ACL9000 It’s better in Raleigh now than the early 2000’s for salt/plow trucks.I think so much influx of population increased the tax base enough to buy more. But nothing compared to northern cities. My wife has an AWD X5.But I’ll be driving my Fuso box truck home on Friday for the weekend.Weighs 10k lbs, lots of ground clearance, limited slip diff, and recently put brand new traction tires on it.Hopefully it can get us around, if we need to.

@catmanmancat @graf @ACL9000 I’m rolling in a 10k lbs (empty) box truck.Lots of ground clearance.Limited slip diff.Brand new open shoulder traction tires.Button to lock out the overdrive gears (5/6).Column shifter to select 3rd and 2nd.Which I do all the time anyway, to engine brake when coming to a stop.

@graf @catmanmancat @ACL9000 I wouldn’t want any other style of box truck after my last 2 cab overs. Can basically maneuver about like a Suburban in tight spaces, maybe even better with the right turning radius. There is a YT channel I watch that got a brand new Scania semi imported to the US and street legal, for demonstration and takes it to truck shows. He would like them to enter the North American market, but that’s a huge investment for them. They make some low profile cab over chassis for box trucks.7 liter diesel. And they’ve cracked the code to get it to pass Euro emissions without a DPF (filter), still has an EGR.I swore I’d never buy another diesel box truck after dealing with emission issues galore on my last one.But that Scania would be tempting.
