I have to say that moving to a much bigger server is quite the different experience than starting my own server with just me. I guess the local feed really is more important than I thought.

@amon030 LOL what terrible advice it is to tell a young person that you just need to sit there and do nothing all day and all of your dreams will come true. In Taoism, there certainly is the idea of not forcing situations into your desired outcome, or not busting your self some material object, but in reality, I worked my ass off to get where I am in my career. I very strategic in every job I took and knew exactly what skills I was going to earn and how I could move into the future. Yea, I didn't know everything perfect and it didn't always work out the way I wanted, but to tell someone to just sit around and not work so hard is just asking for depression and anxiety.

@lowqualityfacts engagement over there is certainly nearly 0. I know Mastodon doesn't give any data per toot, but my engagements are usually 7 views and maybe 1 like by the author I tagged. My morning mantra posts here regularly bring in dozens of interactions
