@peter LOL! We lightened up a lot with our kids viewing and listening at a certain point. Everything good is made for adults. We just thought, fuck it, show them the good stuff!

I just had the craziest interaction with my neighbor! I live near the ocean and I surf. I was talking to my elderly neighbor lady about it. She says to me, You can keep the ocean. I'm terrified of sharks. Fair enough, I say.

Her son, standing next to her, mentions the Great White tracker online and how there's a shark they've been tracking that comes near where we live. Then, a beat, and she starts telling us it reminds her of this thing she saw on TV.

@peter I've had these exact thoughts. Also, read 'The Masque of the Red Death' by Cory Doctorow @pluralistic It is the first piece of fiction I've read that takes this perspective. It's part of a book of short stories called 'Radicalized.' All great stuff. Personally I think #TheLastofUs is a soooo bad. It is ponderous, derivative and shallow.

@hn50 One of my first jobs in TV in the late 90s was using a Tricaster. Similar concept to the Video Toaster. Honestly, with my experience then and now, it still holds up. I created a ton of simple graphics really quickly and switched a live show with minimal experience.
