@stux You and me both. Have a couple coworkers into it and have very maturely resisted the “I told you so” urge so far. I’m angry bc neither friend can really afford to lose any investments.

@SteveRogers @TonyStark I know it’s not actually this simple, but one big factor is that Drumpf’s hard-core followers just don’t want to admit they were wrong. It is literally easier for Drumpf’s biggest fans to live in their fantasy world than admit <gaaaasssppp!> liberals are right.

@contextfree @futurebird technically, that’s what the UN Security Council is supposed to be. And the UN Human Rights Council. But we all see how that’s been going. The Great Powers specifically needed for these tasks choose their power over other countries’ rights. That’s how they got powerful in the first place. And I have no gd solution to this- except that the world’s citizens must hold them accountable with no mechanism to do so.
